Panel with Olga Grjasnowa at Deutsches Haus Columbia

February 28, 2014 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Every year, Festival Neue Literatur brings six of the best up-and-coming German-language authors to New York, where they join well-known American writers in a series of conversations and readings. This year, Milena Michiko Flašar and Maja Haderlap from Austria, Olga Grjasnowa and Abbas Khider from Germany, and Melinda Nadj Abonji and Richard Weihl from Switzerland will participate.

Join us at Deutsches Haus Columbia for a panel entitled “Encounters Across the Ocean” with Olga Grjasnowa, author of All Russians Love Birch Trees (Other Press, 2014) on February 28th. All six novelists from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland will participate, engaging in a discussion of their latest work with Columbia University graduate students from the Department of Germanic Languages and the Creative Writing Program.

Deutsches Haus Columbia is located at 420 West 116th Street.
